I SPORTS ENTREPRENEURSHIP TECHNOLOGY PROJECT CONTEST, TAPAS 2022

Do you have an entrepreneurial idea for applying technologies to physical activity and sports contexts?

If you have an idea with which you would like to start a business in the field of technology, physical activity and sport, tell us about it in the TAPAS2022 Contest that will be held as part of the III International Conference on Technology in Physical Activity and Sport that will be held both online and in-person in Seville between November 17 and 18.

Different prizes will be awarded to the most original, feasible and best told ideas. Go ahead and tell us yours. In these bases we explain how to participate.

WHAT IS THE TAPAS2022 COMPETITION?

It is an entrepreneurship competition organized by the Secretariat for Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship, the Department of Physical Education and Sport and the Department of Human Motricity and Sports performance of the Universidad de Sevilla, in which several teams will propose their business ideas related to technology, physical activity and sport.

WHERE?

The event will both online and in-person as part of the III International Conference on Technology in Physical Activity and Sport (TAPAS 2022) that will be held in the

Faculty of Education Sciences. Universidad de Sevilla, Calle Pirotecnia s/n, 41013, Seville (Spain).

WHO IS IT ADDRESSED TO?

The TAPAS2022 contest is aimed at graduates, students and teachers/researchers from the Universidad de Sevilla who have an entrepreneurial idea related to technology and sports.

Participants will be organized into teams of a maximum of three people, of which at least one must have a relationship with the Universidad de Sevilla (graduate, student or teacher/researcher). In case you have an idea but not a group, or you do not belong to the US but would like to participate, do not hesitate to contact our team (info@tapasconference.es).

OBJECTIVES

• Promote new entrepreneurial ideas linked to technology, physical activity and sports.

• Detect job opportunities.

• Create synergies with other professionals to undertake in the sports industry.

IMPORTANT DATES

Inscription:

• Until November 11th, 2022. Registration of proposals to participate in the contest through the online form

•November 12th. Communication of the selected proposals.

Please note that all participants in the contest should be sign on the conference.

Presentation of ideas:

• November 16th. Presentation at the TAPAS2022 conference of the business ideas and selection of the winners (face-to-face). Each team will have 5 minutes to present their project, fulfilling the requirements that will be proposed during the contest. The presence of all the members of the teams will be necessary.

• November 17th. Resolution of the contest within the TAPAS2022 conference (face-to-face).

AWARDS

• First prize: 5,000 euros

• Second prize: 3,500 euros

• Third prize: 2,000 euros

The prizes will be subject to the constitution of the company.

The prizes can be declared deserted by the corresponding jury.

In addition, one member of each team will be able to attend a specialized sports entrepreneurship program for free.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

By registering for the Program, the participants accept the bases presented here and express their agreement with the decisions issued by the juries summoned in each activity.

The jury convened for each activity reserves the right to declare any prize void, as well as to redistribute and/or extend the prize money.

In case of doubt, the Vice-rector for Knowledge Transfer of the University of Seville is responsible for interpreting these bases, as well as their application criteria.

The STCE, for technical reasons or academic convenience, reserves the right to modify these rules at any time during the development of the contest. All changes will be published on the Program page and, to the extent possible, will be communicated to participants via email.
